Enrico Dupre
BA (Hons) International Marketing, 2002
Since RBS London
Enrico Duprè graduated in 2002 and left London to work for the
leading Italian sportswear brand “Conte of Florence” in
Italy. His main role, as Personal Assistant to the Marketing
Director, was to organise sales campaigns. This proved to be a
challenging task including dealing with buyers, presenting the
collection to clients and filing collection orders.
Whilst Enrico enjoyed the experience tremendously gaining an
exceptional insight into the world of fashion, he realised that his
heart laid in London. This was not only because he missed the buzz
of the capital, but most importantly because he felt that London
still had numerous opportunities to offer. It was in July 2003,
only a month after returning from his native Italy, that he
obtained a placement at Bloomberg, the leading financial
information provider. He became part of a team which embarked in a
project initiated by the chairman of the company, Lex Fenwich. The
project’s aim was to contact 84,000 potential clients in three
months in order to sell the Bloomberg terminal.
The London office, where Enrico was based, managed to beat the
New York office in terms of calls made. Enrico remembers the
environment at Bloomberg as very friendly and collegiate. Again he
makes the skills and experience acquired at RBS London responsible
for the way he managed to fit into the working world. He thinks the
multicultural environment in the London office was quite similar to
the one at the college, so that Enrico was accustomed to cooperate
with various different people and able to relate and connect
instantaneously with his fellow colleagues.
Having a RBS London Education
Enrico found his degree in RBS London to be a
tremendous help during his stay in Florence. In his view, the
School offered a very stimulating atmosphere where each student’s
personality was allowed to grow and express itself. This resulted
in students growing into confident and outgoing individuals – this
has made communicating with clients much easier. In addition to
this, the multicultural environment at RBS London made sure that
each student grew around other people’s cultures and ideas. This
proved to be helpful in dealing with different customers who each
had different needs.
Enrico is currently working on his own enterprise, so far RBS
London has proved to be a very valuable stepping- stone into the
working world and it will surely continue to be so in his
future.
