Long Island University, USA MBA
RBS London provides an attractive location for Long Island
University's successful Accelerated International MBA
programme. This one year programme begins in the fall at
the C.W. Post Campus in Brookville, New York, moves on to RBS
London for the spring semester and finishes in the summer at
Franklin College, Lugano, Switzerland. Regents International Study
Centre London provides Long Island University with the faculty to
complete the spring semester. The university chose RBS London
because it is a 'centre of excellence in international business and
management education' and because it offers 'direct access to
Europe's financial capital as well as proximity to other important
business locations'.
Kobe College
Kobe College in Japan comes to RBS London annually to run a
tailor-made course, which contains a language
course as well as a London history
course. The course lasts four weeks with students being
taught in groups with guest lecturers and a comprehensive cultural
visit itinerary to complement the history course.
Oteman Gakuin
A four week course with around 30 male and female students, this
Communicative English course is taught by the
InterNexus Centre for Language Studies, is based on campus. The
emphasis is on spoken, rather than written language, and there is
no test at the end. There is a Cultural Programme,
which involves visits to places like Buckingham Palace, Windsor
Castle and a back stage theatre tour, and there is a taught
preparation session before each Culture trip. There is also a big
Welcome reception and Farewell dinner.
Brazilian Embassy
The commercial section of the Brazilian Embassy in London has
come to RBS London to organise a number of lectures. They form an
integral part of the training of the Embassy's
staff and cover subjects such as foreign exchange, money
markets, managing exchange risks, promotion of exports, duties and
excise. Each lecture follows the format of two hours in the
evening.
