What is the Business Foundation Course?
The Foundation course has been designed to provide
you with a sound basis for progression to the undergraduate
programmes at RBS London. You can expect to participate in
all types of learning experience, from lectures to highly practical
group exercises. Every situation aims to develop some business
skill: creativity, entrepreneurship, leadership, communication,
organisation; and to increase your capacity for learning.

Is the Business Foundation Programme for me?
If your present qualifications do not allow you to be admitted
directly onto our BA (Hons) degrees, or you simply want to feel
more confident about studying business, you can enrol on our BA
(Hons) with Integrated Foundation Course.

Course Duration and BA (Hons) Degree programmes
The BA (Hons) with Integrated Foundation Course is a 1 +
3 year programme, divided into 1 year* of Foundation
studies and 3 years of BA studies. Successful Foundation students
are guaranteed progression to the BA (Hons)
degree courses at RBS London.**

Course Aims
The Business Foundation Course aims to prepare you for
entry into Higher Education, ensuring you possess the necessary
knowledge, values, skills and competencies to undertake one of the
Regent's Business School's BA (Hons) degree
programmes.
The course is carefully designed to focus on the
academic areas most useful to your future studies.
We place great emphasis on encouraging students to reflect on
their learning, and to be increasingly self-motivated and
self-critical, with assignments and examinations becoming
progressively more challenging and demanding throughout the
course.

Course Outline
The Business Foundation Course consists of compulsory and
optional business and language modules, with tuition and assessment
for modules taking place during each semester.
You will study a total of 15 modules over two semesters* (ten in
semester one, and five in semester two). Students have 20 hours of
contact time per week.

Small Class Sizes & Personal Attention
We firmly believe in the value of working in small groups with a
high level of personal attention. The Programme Director will
assist you in your choice of a degree programme upon completion of
the Integrated Foundation, individual modules and choice of
specialisation, as well as helping with any personal issues.

*Fast-Track
We offer a fast-track route within the Integrated Foundation, which
allows you to complete the Course in just one semester. In addition
to achieving a 60% average in all first semester modules, you must
demonstrate an IELTS proficiency level of 6.0 (tested internally).
Upon meeting these requirements, you may progress onto the BA
(Hons) degrees without taking the second semester of the Course.
** Students must achieve more than 40% in all assessments to be
considered for progression to the degree programme.
