Learning Methods

Core modules are delivered over two intensive face-to-face teaching weekends approximately one month apart. Elective modules take place on just one weekend. Attendance at the teaching weekends is a compulsory part of every module.

In addition to the face-to-face teaching weekends each module also includes online learning activities. On core modules you will have twelve such sessions and on electives you will have six. Some will be scheduled before your face-to-face teaching as advance preparation, and some will be scheduled after with additional activities designed to help you consolidate what you have learned.

The online activities are designed to help you keep up study momentum in between face-to-face teaching sessions; to provide you with support as you work on your assessments; to help you think about how what you are learning applies in your working life; and to enable you to build relationships with other participants on the programme which go beyond formal teaching time.

In addition to formal teaching sessions you will be expected to devote a considerable amount of your own time to studying in order to pass each module. A core module run over twelve weeks requires around thirteen hours of additional study per week.

"I graduated from Exeter Business School with an HND in Business and Marketing after which, in September 2002, I joined RBS London. In May 2004, I graduated with a BA (Hons) International Marketing. Studying at RBS London was a big challenge and a lot of fun. One of the biggest challenges was keeping up with my work placement, while still enjoying my social events outside and inside college and most importantly my college work."
