Nermeen Mustafa

Lecturer

Dr Nermeen Mustafa joined Regents College in 2001 and is currently leading a number of postgraduate and undergraduate modules. She is the author with Joseph Lampel of 'Exploring the Emotional Nexus of Organisations and Products: The Case of the Perfume Industry' in Creativity and the Contemporary Economy, Copenhagen Business School Press 2009.

Nermeen is a post-doctoral research fellow at Cass Business School - City University where she obtained her PhD in 2008 entitled: “The Role of Product Launce Activities in the Creation of Sales Momentum: The case of the perfume industry”. She has been working closely with senior management at Estee Lauder, L’Oreal, Guerlain, LVMH, and Dior among other houses to examine the dynamics of global marketing communication and launch in creative and luxury goods industries. She built strong industry relations and gained insight into highly specialized processes which among other things exist in order to:

  • Allow for the harmonious co-existence of business goals and the creative inspiration driving these markets.
  • Create product visibility in global contexts using effective communication tools.

Other research areas of interest include corporate identity and reputation management. She is currently engaged in research activities which focus on the UK banking sector, particularly in light of the recent economic challenges. She undertook an executive education activities in the area of marketing; and very much enjoys applying her knowledge and expertise to help organisations improve their performance. In addition, Nermeen is experienced in essential oil blending and formulation of luxury skincare products and has a growing client base in the UK.

Nermeen is a Lecturer at Regents College and the Module Leader for the RBSMAGM Marketing Communications – MKT7750 module.
