Why Study Abroad?

There is no question that you will come back a different person. Studying abroad is a stimulating experience and highly prized by employers. Employers are keen to recruit from RBS London because of the value that studying abroad adds to our degree programmes enabling our students to become flexible and experienced business professionals.

Participating in a student exchange programme will allow you to live and study overseas for a set period of time, normally 3-5 months. Add-on Internships (work experiences) may be possible, depending on visa requirements and employment conditions.

Academically, you will face differences in learning and teaching methods. You will have access to courses that complement your degree but are often taught with a different perspective or are more specialised. By taking them, you will broaden the scope of your degree.

On a social level, you will be in an ideal position to meet local students and other exchange students and therefore begin to form international contacts through networking.

Professionally, you will increase your employment prospects tremendously. Your RBS London transcript will indicate that you participated in an exchange programme and thus bear testimony to your ability to succeed in a foreign environment and in a different academic system.

"Although I learnt something about European Culture in Mexico, I learnt so much more while on the Business Foundation Course. As well as benefiting my English, it also helped me to understand the European economy and the differences compared to where I come from. All the subjects help for the future and the quality of teaching is excellent."
