| Course Aims | The module aims to:
Enable students to understand the fundamental principles of law relating to business transactions and commercial institutions as well as being aware of consumer rights.
Enable students to appreciate the fundamental differences between the English Legal System, the European Union and International Law.
Provide students with an awareness of the legal implications of various types of business activity and transactions within these three legal systems
Develop the student’s skills in applying legal principles to particular situations within a business and commercial context

| Learning Outcomes | On completion of this module, students should be able to:
LO1 Comprehend and appreciate the sources and nature of legal rules and the impact of Law generally on individuals, business or commercial organisations and other such interest groups.
LO2 Understand the increased relevance and implications of European Union and International Law in relation to International Business or Commerce
LO3 Demonstrate an understanding of the basic legal principles involved in business and commercial or contractual transactions in the UK, the EU and in International Law.
LO4 Illustrate the application of legal principles contextually with reference to a given case studies, distinguish between Law and Fact, and, to apply relevant legal principles to facts and to argue both sides as well as drawing the appropriate desired conclusions
